Custom Stained Glass Nautilus Mosaic

This bespoke stained glass mosaic nautilus was custom designed and hand-crafted by the artists at Allison Eden Studios as a statement backsplash for a private residential home bar. Inspired by the natural geometry and symbolism of the nautilus shell, the artwork blends organic movement with precise craftsmanship, creating a luminous focal point that transforms the space.

Each individual piece of glass was hand-cut, shaped, and placed one by one in our Brooklyn studio. A carefully curated palette of oceanic blues, aquas, sea-greens, and iridescent accents creates depth, motion, and light play—evoking the feeling of water in constant motion. The spiraling composition draws the eye inward, echoing the nautilus’s natural growth pattern and sense of balance.

Designed specifically for its architectural setting, this mosaic functions as both fine art and functional surface, seamlessly integrating with custom millwork, stone countertops, and lighting. The result is a one-of-a-kind installation that elevates the everyday experience of the space while reflecting the client’s love of art, nature, and craftsmanship.
