Bespoke Zig Zag Mosaic Reception Wall | Allison Eden Studios

There is no stronger endorsement than having a tile showroom choose your work for its own walls.

For Discover Tile, a dealer representing an extensive range of tile brands, Allison Eden Studios created a custom stained glass and mirror mosaic Zig Zag pattern for the wall directly behind the reception desk.

The installation immediately communicates what the showroom stands for: originality, craftsmanship, and access to distinctive design.

Handcrafted by the skilled glass artists at Allison Eden Studios in Brooklyn, New York, the mosaic combines stained glass and mirror in a dramatic repeating chevron composition. The alternating reflective and translucent surfaces catch light from different directions, creating movement, depth, and an ever-changing visual effect as visitors enter and move through the showroom.

The pattern feels graphic and architectural from a distance, while up close the craftsmanship becomes apparent. Each narrow piece of glass and mirror is carefully selected, cut, fitted, and assembled by hand to maintain the precision of the zig zag while preserving the slight variations that distinguish handcrafted mosaic from mass-produced tile.

Installed behind the reception desk, the mosaic functions as both a feature wall and a statement of the showroom’s design point of view. Before a client sees a single sample, the installation signals that this is a destination for unusual, bespoke, and expertly crafted surfaces.

For interior designers, architects, retailers, restaurants, hotels, and luxury commercial spaces, Allison Eden Studios creates custom glass and mirror mosaics tailored to each project, including bespoke patterns, colorways, scales, and material combinations.

Every installation is handcrafted in Brooklyn and designed to turn an architectural surface into a memorable part of the interior.
