Smile! A Jewel-Box Powder Room Wrapped in Glass Mosaic Lips

New Orleans, LA

Why should a powder room play it safe?

For this unforgettable jewel-box bathroom, Allison Eden Studios transformed the walls into a work of art with its signature SMILE Lips glass mosaic, creating a glamorous, playful and completely unexpected luxury interior.

Rich shades of ruby, burgundy and deep red stained glass mingle with shimmering mirror to form oversized lips that wrap continuously around the room. At the center of the design is an irresistible Allison Eden detail: a sparkling gold tooth tucked among the smiles like a tiny piece of jewelry.

The combination of stained glass and reflective mirror gives the walls an extraordinary sense of movement. As someone enters the powder room, changes position or simply walks past, light travels across the glass and mirror surfaces. The mosaic never looks exactly the same twice.

That interaction is part of what makes custom glass mosaic so compelling in a luxury home. Rather than functioning simply as a wall covering, the surface becomes an experience—and the room becomes an artwork.

A Powder Room with Personality

Small rooms offer some of the best opportunities to make a major design statement. A powder room is a space where homeowners and interior designers can take risks with color, pattern and materials that might overwhelm a larger room.

Here, the saturated red palette is balanced beautifully by the crisp white negative space of each smile, while reflective glass adds glamour and dimension. The sculptural gold sink and metallic accents complete the jewel-box effect.

The result is sophisticated, provocative and wonderfully fun.

Allison Eden Studios’ SMILE Lips pattern demonstrates how handcrafted glass mosaic can turn one of the smallest rooms in a home into one of its most memorable.

Designed and handcrafted in Brooklyn, Allison Eden Studios creates bespoke stained glass and mirror mosaics for luxury bathrooms, powder rooms, kitchens, bars, feature walls and residential interiors.
