Custom Mosaic Teacups & Pizza Oven for Atlantis Dubai
For a hospitality project at the Atlantis Hotel in Dubai, Allison Eden Studios created two highly distinctive custom stained glass mosaic installations: a playful collection of handcrafted mosaic teacups for the coffee bar and a dramatic, fiery mosaic treatment surrounding the restaurant’s pizza oven.
Designed by Allison Eden and handcrafted in New York, the project demonstrates the studio’s ability to create completely bespoke architectural glass artwork for major hospitality interiors around the world. For the coffee bar, Eden designed a series of colorful stained glass teacups and saucers, each individually interpreted so that no two are exactly alike. Jewel-like colors, decorative patterns, and hand-cut glass give the cups the feeling of a whimsical collection of fine china translated into luminous mosaic. Set against a dark background within the architectural wall panels, the teacups become individual works of art while together forming a lively, sophisticated visual rhythm.

The restaurant’s pizza oven required a very different artistic approach.
Allison Eden Studios created a dramatic stained glass mosaic composition inspired by fire, heat, and movement, with deep burgundy, red, orange, amber, and golden glass flowing across the curved oven structure. The color transitions into a fiery gradation near the base, while branching forms around the upper portion echo flames and the organic movement of fire.

Both installations required weeks of expert glass craftsmanship, from concept development and color selection to the meticulous cutting, fitting, and assembly of individual stained glass pieces.
The completed mosaics were handcrafted in New York and then shipped across the world to Dubai, illustrating Allison Eden Studios’ ability to execute complex custom architectural artwork for international hospitality projects.
Over a career spanning more than 30 years, Allison Eden has collaborated on prominent architectural and interior design projects for hotels, restaurants, casinos, resorts, retail environments, and luxury residences in the United States and internationally.
From a single custom feature wall to a major hospitality installation, Allison Eden Studios approaches each project as site-specific glass art, creating mosaics that respond to the architecture, brand, atmosphere, and experience of the space.
