When Empire City Casino in Yonkers, New York set out to create an energetic new fast-casual restaurant just steps from the gaming floor, the interior needed more than a conventional wall finish—it needed a visual identity that could command attention in a busy hospitality environment.

Working with Goldman Design Group, Allison Eden Studios created a vibrant custom glass mosaic installation using the studio’s signature Tiki Blocks pattern. Handcrafted from richly colored stained glass, the design combines an unexpected mix of rectangles and squares in brilliant shades of orange, red, lime green, aqua, amber, brown, black and white.

Rather than using a traditional repeating tile pattern, the composition creates a lively patchwork of color, scale and movement. The mosaic wraps architectural columns and extends across feature walls throughout the restaurant, transforming functional surfaces into colorful works of art while visually connecting the dining areas.

Each piece of stained glass was selected and handcrafted by Allison Eden Studios, giving the installation the variation, depth and luminous quality that distinguishes artisan glass mosaic from mass-produced commercial tile. The reflective nature of the glass responds beautifully to the restaurant and casino lighting, allowing the walls to shift in character throughout the day and evening.
